Tahrim is a Ph.D. student at the iSchool. His research interests span the interconnected domains of networking, distributed systems, security, and blockchain technology. His current research focuses specifically on smart contracts within blockchain ecosystems, aiming to enhance their upgradability, interoperability, and security, ensuring they are adaptable and capable of evolving to meet growing user needs. His work involves developing protocols for safe smart contract upgrades, exploring mechanisms for effective cross-chain communication, implementing protective measures against vulnerabilities, and studying methodologies for auditing smart contracts to identify and address potential risks. By bridging theoretical innovations with practical applications, he strives to make blockchain technologies more versatile and widely applicable. Driven to advance distributed and decentralized systems, he seeks to develop open and simplified solutions that empower the next generation of blockchain technologies.
