Jinfen is a Ph.D. student at the iSchool. Her research focuses on Natural Language Processing (NLP), Explainable AI, and the development of culturally aware large language models (LLMs). Jinfen has worked on NLP algorithms including multi-emotion recognition, discourse parsing, and propaganda detection, applying these tools to various social science issues. Recently, her work has centered on developing culturally aligned LLMs for practical applications, such as human resources, content creation, marketing, and email drafting, with an emphasis on cross-cultural communication.
