Boting Yu is a Ph.D. student at the iSchool. His research focuses on leveraging technical methods to address social inequality and promote sustainable urban development through the lens of urban transportation. Boting holds a B.S. in Geographical Information Science from Southwest Jiaotong University and an M.S. from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
His research interests span Urban Informatics, Geographic Information Science, Urban Transportation, Spatiotemporal Modeling, Geospatial Statistical Analysis, Deep Learning, Geo-AI, and Social Inequality. In his free time, Boting enjoys outdoor sports and boxing. He is a super fan of the Golden State Warriors and boxer Dmitry Bivol.
