The Syracuse University School of Information Studies (iSchool) has named Austin Tousaw ’16 the new host of Infoversity, the iSchool’s podcast featuring conversations with members of the iSchool community and leaders across technology and industry.
An iSchool alumnus and technology leader, Tousaw has built a career spanning cybersecurity, data, privacy and technology, with experience at organizations including McDonald’s, Meta, Deloitte and Fidelity. He has remained closely connected to Syracuse University and the iSchool throughout his career as an alumni advocate, speaker and supporter.
As host of Infoversity, Tousaw will sit down with alumni, faculty, students and industry leaders to explore the ideas, experiences and technologies influencing the way we work, connect and navigate a changing digital world.
Conversations will cover topics across the iSchool community, from emerging technology and artificial intelligence to entrepreneurship, research and career journeys, while examining the role information plays across industries and society.
Hosting Infoversity brings Tousaw back to a community that has remained an important part of his life and career since graduating from the iSchool.
“The iSchool gave me far more than an education. It gave me relationships, mentors, opportunities and a community that has stayed with me throughout my career. I’m incredibly excited to come back as the host of Infoversity and help tell the stories of the students, alumni and faculty who make this community so special.
“My career has reinforced two things the iSchool taught me early: the importance of adaptability and lifelong learning. Technology will continue to change, industries will change and careers will change. Our goal with Infoversity is to have conversations with people navigating those changes and give the Syracuse community a front-row seat.
“This is about reconnecting alumni, showcasing the incredible people coming out of the iSchool and introducing more people to what makes this school special. We’re just getting started.”
New episodes of Infoversity will bring together voices from across Syracuse University and beyond, sharing experiences, expertise and perspectives on the forces shaping technology, information and the future of work.
